Embedded: Cadence supports Xilinx Zynq-7000

Cadence has announced production release of its virtual platform for the Xilinx Zynq-7000 Extensible Processing Platform (EPP), for members of the Xilinx early access program.

Zynq-7000 EPP combines a dual-core ARM processor and 28nm programmable logic.

“Designed to streamline the embedded software development process, the virtual platform enables simultaneous development of hardware and software before hardware availability,” said Cadence.

This virtual platform has already been used by Missing Link Electronics to design an application development platform for automotive infotainment and medical systems, said Cadence.

Demonstrations of Missing Link’s platform are available this week at Xilinx’ stand (1.205 in Hall 1) at Embedded World in Nuremberg.
