Arduino and Adafuit design micro module

Arduino has annouced the release of the Arduino Micro board.

Based on the technology behind the Leonardo board, the Micro board is smaller, measuring 48mm x 18mm.

The module is designed to be used on a breadboard or soldered to a custom designed PCB.

The Micro has been developed in collaboration with US-based Adafruit Industries. Adafruit is already developing a series of accessories for the new board.

Starting next week the board can pre-ordered from all Arduino distributors while shipments will start from November 26.

The Arduino Micro will be available in two versions:

A100053 Retail version with headers €21 + taxes.

A000053 Retail version without headers €18 + taxes.
