Raspberry Pi competitor powered by Freescale dual-core
Designed by SolidRun of Israel, the modules, dubbed HummingBoard, are built around the Freescale i.MX6 processor based on the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture.
There is a $45 module with a 1GHz single-core processor, graphics support for OpenGL and 512 MB of DDR3 RAM.
Program storage is on a microSD for loading the Ubuntu, Android or freeBSD operating system.
A second more powerful module is a more serious professional development board. It has a dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
Graphics are improved and SolidRun has added mini-PCIe, mSATA II and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. There is also an LVDS display output and an IR receiver.
