Advanced Power regulator’s 2% initial voltage accuracy
Advanced Power Electronics has announced a linear voltage regulator with better than 2% initial voltage accuracy.
“The APU1205-3 family features a low drop-out voltage and low ground current and is targeted at handheld battery powered applications,” claimed the firm.
Drop-out is 270mV at 300mA or 170mV at 150mA, with tail current up to 9.5mA for full load, shutting down to 5µA.
Enable/shutdown is through a TTL-compatible pin and the series is available in fixed (1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V) and adjustable output versions in a 5-pin SOT-23 package.
“The family especially suits laptops, notebooks and palmtop computers, PCMCIA Vcc and Vpp regulators, consumer electronics and linear power supplies,” said CEO Ralph Waggitt.
