Lattice Semiconductor has announced two evaluation kits for its LatticeEC FPGAs. The Standard and Advanced Evaluation Platforms provide options for implementing system-level logic, memory functions and support for PCI, DDR, FCRAM and SPI4.2 standards.
Each kit has an FPGA PCB with a prototyping area, power regulation and interface connectors.
The standard version is available with either the LFEC6E-4F484C (6k look-up tables) or LFEC20E-4F484C (20k LUTs); an SPI flash memory for configuration, SMA pads for high-speed signals/clocks, a prototyping area, on-board power control and LEDs for visual feedback.
A free PCI IP Core programming bit stream for this board will be available for download from the Lattice website.
The advanced version includes a LFEC20E-5F672C device, a DDR memory interface, SPI4.2 connectors, a PCI interface and on-board FCRAM as well as the standard peripherals.
Board-compatible PCI, FCRAM, DDR and SPI4.2 IP Cores are due before the end of the year.
