Tektronix has introduced two modular logic analyser platforms which are intended to add improved data processing and display options for both benchtop and portable instruments.
The TLA7012 portable mainframe and TLA7016 benchtop mainframe are
designed to provide data throughput which is at least three times
faster than previous mainframe models due to their incorporation of
PCI Express and SATA III serial busses as well as double data rate
(DDR II) memories. There is also a Gigabit Ethernet LAN
interface.
The TLA7012 portable mainframe can contain two modules allowing up to 272 channels of logic analysis capability and has a 2GHz Pentium M processor.
Another feature is the availability of short-cut keys on the
front-panel for commonly used menus and there is an optional
touchscreen feature.
The TLA7016 benchtop mainframe is able to support up to six TLA
modules, one more than on previous models. The unit can be
connected to a PC or alternatively an optional rack-mounted 3GHz
Pentium 4 controller.
New TLA application software which works under Windows XP or 2000
offers the user drag-and-drop triggering and automated measurements
for logic analysers.
Also of interest to existing TLA series users, the supplier is
offering a trade-up credit towards purchase of the new
analysers.
