A dust, rain and splash resistant PC for harsh environments has been introduced by Trident. The compact casing provides protection against demanding conditions in vehicles and vessels.

The MMB Mobile PC from Trident is powered by an energy efficient, cool running VIA C7 1 GHz processor, eliminating the need for fans and vents. The MMB Mobile is sealed to IP65 on all but one side where the connections are placed. An optional 1 inch skirt provides further protection once fitted. A fully IP67 specified version is also available.

With on-chip encryption, SSE2 / SSE3 support, integrated hardware and MPEG-2 decoding acceleration, the MMB Mobile fulfils all media needs. It offers an external wide input DC voltage range from 6V to 36V and many battery protection features.

Further features include VIA UniChrome Pro AGP graphics, VIA 10 / 100 Ethernet network support and a 2.5” 40GB HDD. VIA Solomon Wireless LAN 802.11bg can be optionally added. Standard internal memory is 1x DDR2 533 MHz DIMM expandable up to 1GB. The overall dimensions are 204mm x 203mm by 62mm deep and weighs 2400g. Wall mounting options and a wide operating temperature range between 0 – 45 degrees C provide an ideal versatile solution for positioning in buses, boats and cars.
