Power-One has introduced a 60A digital point-of-load module which it claimed is the highest current version available.
When used with the company’s ZM7000 series digital power manager devices, the ZY8160 provides are circuit elements for sequencing, tracking, protections, monitoring, and reporting.
Parameters are programmable via the industry-standard I2C communication bus and an optional graphical user interface (GUI). Configuration capabilities also include the ability for “on the fly” operating-parameter changes, said the supplier.
Programmable parameters include: output voltages, sequencing, tracking, and protection limits. These user-defined settings are stored in a DPM and are used to initialise the ZY8160 during system start up.
The input range 8V–14Vand output 0.5V–2.75V.
ZY8160-based systems can be configured to manage up to 32 digital PoLs and analogue components such as converters, fans and LDO regulators.
Package size is 61x10.4mm SIP footprint and 28mm height.
