TDC has announced its smallest and most efficient embedded antenna for Bluetooth applications. The Antenova Fusca 2.4GHz antenna from TDC is equally suitable for other 2.4GHz applications such as Wi-Fi and ZigBee.
Ideal for wireless headset, mobile handset and portable device applications, the ultra-small Fusca A10192-L is a highly efficient 2.4GHz antenna. Designed specifically for the most constrained portable wireless applications, the antenna has dimensions of just 4 x 3 x 1.1mm cubed, and requires minimal ground plane to achieve its rated performance.
RF performance
Despite its small size, the Fusca offers outstanding RF performance, delivering a gain of 0.4dBi at 65% efficiency in tests conducted by the manufacturer using their reference board. It is supplied in an RoHS compliant chip format suitable for SMD mounting.
TDC supports the full Antenova gigaNOVA range of antenna solutions for 1.575 GHz (GPS), 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. gigaNOVA standard antennas are designed for easy integration into wireless devices to give a compact, high performance GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wibree or ZigBee implementation. TDC offers development support and RF testing to help reduce customisation, design costs and accelerate time-to-market.
