Trident, one of Europe's leading technical franchised distributors of displays, today announced the introduction of the 3.5 inch TFT LCD display with replaceable LED backlight from Toshiba. This new compact screen offers a high quality viewing experience, and the versatility of this revolutionary TFT enables it to be used in a range of applications such as hand held devices or instrumentation.

The LTA035A350F features a wide viewing angle of  140 degrees horizontally and 120 degrees vertically making it ideal for viewing clear and vibrant images on EPOS, ID and data capture devices, medical devices, navigation systems, industrial test and measurement devices and mobile devices.

Toshiba’s first industrial 3.5 inch QVGA TFT LCD module with a replaceable LED backlight has a high resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and a brightness of 350 cd/m squared. The LTA035A350F offers a wide operating temperature between -20 to +70 degrees C and a contrast ratio of 500:1 giving excellent viewing conditions in any application. The module outline dimensions are a compact 90 (W) x 72 (H) x 7.5 (D) mm.

This new display is fully RoHS compliant and Toshiba is guaranteeing to support this module for at least three years in order to satisfy customer’s long term product planning requirements.
