GE Fanuc Embedded Systems’ PC8 All-In-One computer for industrial applications is based on an Intel Celeron M processor operating at up to 1.5GHz and 1GByte of DDR memory in a compact EMI-protected metal housing that supports DINrail mounting.
The computer includes three PC/104+ slots, designed to give access to the extensive range of PC/104+ mezzanine modules. A CANbus interface is also optionally available.
Also available is a fanless operation option, using a 600MHz Intel Celeron processor; with the option of configuring two of the PC8’s serial I/O ports as RS232/422 ports or with optical isolation; and the optional availability of a 2.5in. hard disk or flash drive.
The PC8 also provides a DVI-D interface via PanelLink with resolutions up to 1,600x1,200, two Fast Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports and a parallel port.
The OS is Windows XP and a Linux option is available.
