Sony Europe’s image sensing business has introduced its first CMOS camera module, which is a 3.15Mpixel camera module for industrial and related applications.
The MCB-882P uses a CMOS-based progressive scan unit to deliver 30frame/s and features an auto focus lens, x16 digital zoom, electronic image stabilisation, auto exposure, auto white balance and I2C control interface, all in a package size of 18.8x15.6x8.63mm.
The lens delivers a wide viewing angle of up to 53 degrees and a minimum object distance of 100mm. The unit has an operating temperature range of -10 to 45 deg C, and has a maximum power consumption of 230mW.
The progressive scan CMOS sensor enables digital YUV video or JPEG still image outputs.
