Murata Power Solutions (formerly C&D Technologies’ Power Electronics Division) has introduced a range of transformers for use in isolated RS-485 and RS-422 interfaces based on Analog Devices chipsets.
Available with nominal input voltage variants of 3.3V and 5.0V, the 782485 transformers offer 2.5kVrms isolation and deliver a nominal output voltage of 6.0V. Maximum output current is 200mA. Accurately controlled turns ratios ensure consistent performance, whilst the toroidal construction provides high efficiency and minimises EMI.
The new transformers are supplied in a low profile (6.35mm), fully encapsulated package with an industry standard DIL pinout. Surface mount versions will be available soon.
