Radisys claims that its Procelerant Quad-core embedded server is the first to incorporate Intel Quad-core Xeon processors.

Expected to be used in applications such as medical imaging, test and measurement, and digital signal processing, the RMS420-5000XSL server is also notable for its low level of acoustic noise, which reduces the need for a separate enclosure to reduce noise.

The server is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliance meets European Union regulatory requirements.
