SynQor is pleased to announce the release of the PQ60120HZA50 DC/DC converter. This half brick sized device, measuring just 2.40”x2.30”x0.413” in open frame format, offers a regulated output of 12V up to a maximum rating of 50A from the full Telecom input voltage range of 35-75V.

Targeting Intermediate Bus Architectures (IBA), the device offers the highest output power currently available in the marketplace for a half brick device.

Employing SynQor’s patented topology, and making use of the latest high performance components, the PQ60120HZA50 delivers the maximum 50A rating at up to 95% efficiency. Half load efficiency performance is even greater at 96.5 per cent. This exceptional performance maximises the available output power of the open frame unit under typical operating conditions, delivering for example up to 36A in a 55degC ambient with just 200LFM of airflow.

For extended temperature operation, or to provide the full 600W rated power of the device, an optional encased unit is also available to enable the use of a heatsink, or for attachment to a cold plate.

The PQ60120HZA50 is capable of withstanding transients on the input to 100V for 100ms, and has a basic isolation level from input to output of 2250Vdc.

Control and protection features include remote sense, an ultra wide output voltage trim range of –50% to +5%, input under-voltage lockout, output OVP, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. Operating temperature range is -40 to +100degC. The unit is also fully RoHS 6/6 compliant.
