Hittite Microwave Corporation announces the release of a new SMT MMIC Wideband Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) which covers fiber optic, military EW, test & measurement equipment, and microwave radio applications from DC to 20 GHz.
The HMC460LC5 GaAs pHEMT MMIC LNA is rated from DC to 20 GHz, and delivers 14 dB gain, 2.5 dB noise figure, and +16.5 dBm output power at 1 dB compression. The HMC460LC5 LNA also exhibits consistent output power and excellent gain flatness, making it ideal for OC192 fiber optic LN/MZ modulator driver applications.
This versatile LNA provides up to +19 dBm of saturated output power and +28 dBm output IP3, while consuming only 75 mA from a +8 V supply. The HMC460LC5 features 50 Ohm matched I/Os and requires no external components other than standard bias decoupling capacitors.
The HMC460LC5 GaAs pHEMT MMIC LNA is housed in a RoHS compliant 5x5 mm leadless ceramic SMT package, and complements Hittite’s broad line of wideband distributed amplifier die, SMT and modules which cover frequencies from DC to 65 GHz.
Samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order.
