Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a number of four-, six-, and eight-channel EMI filters in small LLPXX13 leadless packages.

With a low profile of 0.6mm, the VEMI filter series is designed to provide ESD protection in portable electronics for consumer, industrial and medical applications.

The filters include the four-channel VEMI45AB-HNH and VEMI45AC-HNH, the six-channel VEMI65AB-HCI and VEMI65AC-HCI, and the eight-channel VEMI85AB-HGK and VEMI85AC-HGK.

They feature typical cut-off frequencies of 130MHz and 240MHz, a resistance of 100ohm, and load capacitances of 20pF and 40pF.

The VEMI45AB-HNH, VEMI65AB-HCI, and VEMI85AB-HGK devices provide transient protection for data lines as per IEC 61000 4 2 (ESD) at +/-25kV and +/-18kV (air and contact discharge) and IEC 61000 4 5 (lightning) from 4A.

The VEMI45AC-HNH, VEMI65AC-HCI, and VEMI85AC-HGK devices provide transient protection for data lines as per IEC 61000 4 2 (ESD) at +/-12kV and +/-10kV (air and contact discharge) and IEC 61000 4 5 (lightning) from 2A.

All six devices are compliant with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC.
