MSC Vertriebs has added to its CPU modules EXM32-AU1250 or EXM-SH7760 with quad band 800/900/1800/1900MHz EGSM and GPRS as well as with GPS functions. UMTS/HSDPA/EDGE is supported optionally.

An external gyro sensor module can be connected for inertial navigation when satellite contact is not available.

The EXM32-AU1250 CPU module is designed for harsh industrial environments. The EXM32-AU1250 is based on the RMI Alchemy Au1250 RISC-CPU with 16kbyte data and 16kbyte instruction cache.

It is available in two versions. In the commercial variant, specified for an ambient temperature range from 0 to 70 deg C, the processor operates at a clock frequency of 600MHz. The variant for industrial ambient temperature range from -40 to +85 deg C operates at 500MHz.
