Focus EDL has an ultra-wide band (UWB) family of low profile, internal planar antennas for high-speed, short-range data communication equipment.
Produced by Pulse, the UWB family includes the W3540, W3541, and W3542 planar antennas. The antennas profile is 0.8mm.
All versions have a minimum of minus 10dB return loss.
Dimensions of the W3540 are 10.2x13.35x0.8mm high, its weight is 0.27g, and its ground clearance under the antenna is 20.0x13.5mm. They are suitable for applications of 2.7 to 8.2GHz, 3.1 to 4.95GHz UWB low band, and 6.9 to 8.5GHz UWB high band.
For applications of 4.5 to 14.0GHz, the W3541 is 6.5x8.0x0.8mm, with a weight of 0.082g, and a ground clearance under the antenna of 10.0x8.5mm. The W3542 is 5.0x 6.0x0.8mm, has a weight of 0.046g, a ground clearance under the antenna of 8.1x6.5mm, and is best for applications in the 6.3 to 12.0GHz range.
These UWB antennas provide omni-directional radiation to give full 360-degree coverage, have a specially shaped patch-type radiator to enable expanded signal coverage, and deliver constant gain across the operation band for secure signal uniformity. The antennas have an impedance of 50 ohm.
