Analog Devices has two audio processors for HDTV sound that are designed to provide uninterrupted, high-fidelity audio streaming from both digital and analogue sources.

The ADAV4601 and ADAV4622 audio processors provide a dedicated TV audio flow that incorporates full matrix switching of any input to any output; automatic volume control for compensating for volume changes during advertisements or when switching channels.

There is also support for dynamic bass, a multi-band equaliser; and up to 200ms of stereo delay memory for audio/video synchronisation.

The processors ship in 14x14mm LQFP (low-profile quad flat package) packages and are pin-for-pin and software-register compatible.
