Emerson Network Power has launched a series of programmable ac-dc front-end power supplies with a power density of 1.3W/cubic cm.
With a 140x273mm footprint and a height of 41mm, the UFE series currently comprises two models – a 24Vdc output model with a power rating of 1,300W, and 48Vdc output model with a power rating of 2,000W.
Both power supplies generate a main payload output and an auxiliary 260mA at 11Vdc output for powering standby circuitry. The 1.3kWt model has a 90 to 264Vac input range and can deliver up to 65A from its main output.
The 2kW model has a 180 to 264Vac input, and can deliver up to 52A from its main output.
The main output of each power supply is isolated and floating, enabling positive or negative polarity operation, and has a hold-up time of 20ms minimum at full rated power.
The output is digitally programmable with either a standard I2C or the PMBus communications. The output of 48Vdc model can be adjusted over the range 42 to 57Vdc, while the output of the 24Vdc model can be adjusted over the range 21 to 28.5Vdc.
