XJTAG has introduced a 3U PXI (PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation) module, which provides a high speed interface to the boundary scan chain.
The aim is to allow users of PXI chassis to implement boundary scan techniques to debug, test and program complex ball grid array (BGA) populated printed circuit boards and systems from within their integrated PXI test platform.
Full compatibility with LabVIEW software opens up a range of virtual instruments which will interface to the system.
"We have also worked hard to improve the integration between XJTAG and LabVIEW, to make it quick and easy to generate working code," said Simon Payne, CEO of XJTAG.
The system can also be used for in-system programming of FPGAs, CPLDs and flash memories, includes an ever growing library of device-centric test scripts, and provides support for Xilinx's Virtex-5 FPGA system monitor.
