The new Nujira HAT modulator module for WiMax features a TDD mode, which puts the PA in a low power idle state during the receive interval. For WCDMA, LTE and other transmissions, the WiMax module provides the same performance as the standard Nujira HAT modulator module.
Nujira HAT envelope tracking technology can make the next generation of cellular base stations two to three times more efficient than the current network, despite the wider frequency bandwidths and the greater performance demands required to support WiMax, WCDMA and LTE transmissions.
According to Nujira, HAT technology reduces the carbon footprint of cellular networks and delivers a direct and significant network energy cost saving of tens of millions of dollars for a typical national network. Nujira is engaged with nine leading cellular network infrastructure manufacturers including Sumitomo Electric Industries, and is partnering with RF transistor and power amplifier manufacturers to create reference designs.
