LeCroy's WavePro ranges of digital oscilloscopes, serial data analysers and disk drive analysers now include the 700Zi series which features rare event capture technologies, faster processing throughput and a larger 15.3in.display.
The scopes incorporate a fast throughput streaming architecture, called X-Stream II, which uses variable waveform segment lengths to improve CPU cache memory efficiency. This compares with the traditional approach where oscilloscopes process full-size waveforms in one length.
The result, said LeCroy, is 10-20 times faster throughput when processing long records. X-Stream II is augmented with an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, high-speed data buses, a 64-bit OS, and up to 8Gbyte of RAM to support long acquisitions.
The scopes have a sample rate of 20Gsample/s on all 4 channels and 40Gsample/s interleaved; record length of 10Mpts/ch standard up to 128 Mpts/ch optional; both 1Mohm and 50ohm inputs from 1.5GHz to 6GHz.
The oscilloscopes are available in 1.5GHz, 2.5GHz, 3.5GHz, 4GHz, and 6GHz bandwidths. The serial data analysers are available in 2.5GHz, 3.5GHz, 4GHz, and 6GHz bandwidths. The disk drive analysers are available in 3.5GHz and 6GHz bandwidths.
