Vero Technologies has introduced a new size in its Veronex handheld case range which will accept industry character and dot matrix standard display modules.
The maximum viewable width of the display is 70mm with an 82.5mm PCB. The new hand-held unit measures 150x90x30mm; the top cover is furnished with a recessed area to accept a 70x137mm membrane keypad.
Two plastic end panels, held in place without fixings when the unit is assembled, provide I/O facilities at each end of the enclosure. The internal fixing pillars are placed as far outboard as possible to give maximum width end panels so accommodate a large number of I/O connectors.
Veronex is moulded in UL94V-0 rated flame retardant ABS; the family consists of more than 40 versions of three ranges, IP54 sealed, hand-held and instrument cases, dedicated to applications ranging from desk-top instrumentation to machine control on the shop floor.
