Fairchild Semiconductor’s latest I2C voltage translator operates over a voltage range down to 1.65V to support low-voltage applications.
The FXM2IC102’s I2C interface and open drain output can be used to interface with Bluetooth and display screens in a range of applications. With the I2C interface, only two lines (clock and data) are required for full duplexed communication.
The chip features a dynamic output drive specification and ESD protection. Dynamic output drive allows the FXM2IC102 to drive highly capacitive loads (as high as 400pF) that are often found in I2C applications. Its strong ESD protection (15kV on I/O pins) allows it to be placed close to the external environment without risk of damage from an ESD event.
