Schaffner has extended its range of filtered IEC inlets with a wide mounting flange version for the Asian market.
"The new larger mounting flange offers an increased conductive area for safety and optimum filter performance," said the firm. "This enlargement of the FN9222 IEC Inlet filter series meets growing market demand and completes the FN9222 filter series."
At the same time Schaffner has rationalised its whole IEC inlet filter range by integrating the functionality of existing FN321 designs into the FN 9233 series.
The 9222 and 9233 families employ the same housing and materials. Compared with the standard 9222 filter family the 9233 series offers higher symmetrical and asymmetrical attenuation performance - up to 6dB.
9222U has the wide flange and is rated up to 15A. Options such as an on-board bleed resistor and a medical version are available. 9222UZ also has the wide flange and includes a metal oxide varistor for surge pulse protection.
9233UF2 completes the extension to Schaffer’s range updates with the wide flange as well as two X capacitors - one at line side and one at load side. Y-capacitors are increased from 2.2 to 3.3nF which "gives the FN 9233UF2 better high frequency attenuation performance", said the firm.
Overall, options include: earth line choke, medical versions (B type), snap-in versions (S and S1 type) and hot inlet versions (HI type).
