Hittite Microwave has added two medium power amplifiers to its product line.
These GaAs PHEMT MMIC amplifiers provide frequency coverage in the 5 to 18GHz and 34 to 42GHz bands, and are aimed at applications including point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, VSAT, military and space, fibre optics, sensors and test instrumentation.
The 5 to 18GHz HMC451LP3E provides 18dB of gain and +21dBm of saturated output power at 18% PAE, while consuming 120mA from a single 5V supply.
It also features +28dBm output IP3, operates from -40 to 85º C, and is housed in a leadless RoHS compliant plastic SMT package.
I/Os are 50Ω matched and DC blocked and require no external matching components.
HMC-ABH264 is a high dynamic range 34 to 42GHz amplifier with 18.5dB of gain, a P1dB of +18dBm and +29dBm output IP3, while consuming 120mA from a single +5V supply.
This amplifier also features 50Ω matched and DC blocked I/Os, and is specified for operation from -55 to +85ºC. "This amplifier is ideal for integration into multi-chip-modules," claimed the firm.
Die samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock.
