Teledyne Relays has introduced a RoHS-compliant series of broadband attenuator relays for applications in 50 and 75ohm systems over a frequency range from DC to 5GHz.

The GA152 relay offers both a normally closed low-loss bypass path and, when energised, the relay provides an attenuated path. In the event of a loss of operating power, the relay defaults to the bypass path condition.

These single-section, switchable attenuator relays have an internal matched thin film attenuator pad in a "Pi" configuration.

Available with a fixed 20dB attenuation value, with other fixed values ranging from 1 to 16dB available upon request.

The relays feature gold-plated precious metal contacts which provide high repeatability (+/-0.1db), flat amplitude versus frequency response, good intermodulation performance and phase linearity.

According to the supplier, the design of the relay also gives high resistance to electrostatic discharge, high isolation between control and signal path, stable attenuation versus temperature and mechanical rigidity with minimum mass components and welded construction for maximum resistance to shock and vibration.
