Hirose’s LX series is a 0.5mm pitch low profile interface connector. The receptacle has a height profile of 2mm.

A box bent metal shell allows for robust design and as a result fully mated connectors will withstand 30 newtons maximum force applied on the plug in any direction. They are designed for 5000 mating cycles.

The connector design uses sequential mating contacts. This allows protection of the circuit by having two contacts protruding forward by 0.5mm at each end of the connector. These contacts can be moved to other positions upon request.

The V-shaped slit snap lock gives a tactile click sensation when the connector is fully mated. Incorrect insertion is prevented and no damage will occur if the plug is inserted reversely or at an angle. The plug can be released if using excessive force allowing safety.
