Renesas Technology and German firm Port have launched a SDK1725 starter kit for the development of dual CAN applications.
With the CANopen stack and CANopen development tools from Port and Renesas’ H8SX/1725F-based microcontroller, the kit is suitable for developing safety critical applications.
The CANopen protocol for embedded distributed designs is in use across many application sectors such as medical, automation, sensor, measurement, and motion control.
The H8SX/1725F CANopen Library provides all the services necessary to provide CANopen communications that are compliant with the CiA 301 V 4.2 communication profile. It is able to serve one or two of the CAN Controllers within the H8SX/1725F microcontroller.
Written completely in ANSI-C, it can be compiled with every ANSI-C compliant compiler. Each version of the CANopen Library is tested against the latest CANopen conformance tests to maintain compliance with the standard.
