BI Technologies is developing an absolute encoder based on its proprietary DAPS (Digital Angular Position Sensor) technology.

Available with multiple output configurations, the encoder will feature 12-bit resolution over 360-degree rotation.

The absolute encoder will feature a bearing life easily exceeding 1 billion revolutions, and is anticipated for use in industrial automation, heavy equipment, robotics and instrumentation applications.

Beta samples with limited options are currently available, and lead time for custom samples is 12 weeks.
