Synopsys is offering its Lynx Design System, which combines a production-proven RTL-to-GDSII design flow.

With features to speed up chip development, Lynx’s open architecture is designed for out of the box deployment with Synopsys’ Galaxy Design Platform.

It can be configured to incorporate third party technology.

The RTL-to-GDSII design flow has been validated with more than 100 customer tape-outs. Lynx incorporates the latest methodologies required for implementing 65 and 40nm designs including low power techniques such as multi-corner multi-mode (MCMM), state-retention power gating (SRPG) and dynamic voltage frequency scaling (DVFS), as well as concurrent hierarchical design for managing large, complex designs.
