LeCroy has launched a line of analysing 400MHz to 2GHz scopes.

"The WaveRunner Xi-A is the latest generation of the Xi platform, leveraging the innovations and industrial design developed for the recently launched WavePro 7 Zi and WaveMaster 8 Zi oscilloscopes," said LeCroy.

The hardware architecture has been changed - including a move to a Core Duo processor - to increase acquisition and display speed by using variable waveform segment lengths to improve CPU cache memory efficiency.

Rare event trigger has been also added, as has a spectrum analyser option and an LXI interface for automated test systems.

Sample rate is up to 10Gsample/s on some models and sample memory is 25Mpoints deep.

All Xi-A models are compatible with the firm's optional low-speed serial triggering and decode packages for: I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, CAN, LIN and FlexRay protocols.
