A microwave power module (MPM) being launched by TMD Technologies includes what the supplier calls a "next generation" high power mini-TWT to provide a wider frequency range and higher power than previous models.

As a result the PTX8207 is specified to provide a mid-band power of 140W and an operating frequency range of 4.5-18GHz.

The MPM includes a high performance modulator to permit pulsed or CW operation, which makes the PTX8207 equally suitable for radar, EW and communications applications.

All components are fully integrated, making installation of the MPM suitable as a "drop in" amplifier block, said the supplier.
