Resolution is the latest RISC based offering from Blue Chip Technology, specifically targeted at developers working with embedded HMI based applications.

Comprising the RE1 single board computer, mounting, interfacing and range of display options, the RE1 single board computer has a maximum 500MHz CPU speed and a performance per watt of 1.5 watts at 333MHz and 2 watts at 500MHz.

Hardware features include SDRAM and flash memory, three serial ports, Ethernet, audio, touch screen, optional SD or Compact Flash, USB Host Port, USB Client Port and 13 TTL general purpose I/Os. 

An additional 8-bit expansion interface will let customers incorporate further custom I/O designs onto the board, which is slightly bigger than a playing card.

Blue Chip Technology has teamed up with Plus Opto, to offer off-the-shelf TFT LCD displays options with in REsolutiom package.
The company offers a USB-enabled Windows CE 6.0 boot loader and supporting Windows desktop configuration utility.

A Linux based version is currently under development, release expected Q2 2009.
