Acal Technology is sampling an industrial Ethernet switch from Harting, which connects up to 16 ports in a 120x105.4mm footprint.
Designated the eCON 2160-A, the unmanaged switch operates in store and forward switching mode and integrates a LED on each port for fast network diagnostics. Supporting data rates of 10Mbit/s and 100Mbit/s, the eCON 2160-A features IP30 protection and withstands shock and vibration in accordance with IEC 60 068.
A package height of 25.5mm makes the eCON 2160-A suitable for use in flat control cabinets whilst its mechanical attachment design allows it to be mounted on, or dismounted from, standard 35mm top-hat rails without tools.
This is the newest member of the eCON 2000 family, which also offers five-, four- and three-port versions and supports data rates of up to 1000Mbit/s.
