Acal has 500A power connector for electric vehicles

Acal Technology is sampling a range of power connectors for battery connection in electric vehicles and industry.
Rated to handle currents of 300A and 500A, with 750A available on request, the connectors have IP67 and IP20-level protection and optional 360 degree EMI shielding.
The 1,000Vdc HBC series are single-pole circular connectors with a gender-reversible, polarised design, developed from Hypertac’s military HBB series.
There is a choice of aluminium, nickel-plated or thermoplastic shells, in cable or panel-mount versions, with straight or right-angle back shells.
The 300A versions accept cable up to 70mm2, whilst the 500A versions are suitable for 120mm2 cables.
