Tektronix has added a mid-range instrument to its family of mixed signal oscilloscopes.

The MSO3000 series has up to four analogue and 16 digital channels. The bandwidth on the analogue channels is 100 to 500MHz with an analogue sample rate of 2.5Gsamples /s.

On the digital channels the instruments will acquire 10,000 points at up to 8.25Gsamples/s. This is equivalent to a waveform resolution of 121.2ps.

The instruments sport a 5 million point record length.

The instruments also have a 50,000 waveform per second capture rate and the company has included its customary intensity-graded digital phosphor display technology.

The Wave Inspector waveform search function is available across all analogue and digital channels.

The oscilloscopes offer a full range of tools for debugging serial buses with automatic trigger, decode and search for I2C, SPI, RS-232/422/485/UART, CAN, LIN, and I2S/LJ/RJ/TDM standards.
