Hittite Microwave has introduced a connectorised 1:2 fanout buffer module, which supports data transmission/clock rates of 50Gbit/s/30GHz.
Suitable for OC-768 and SDH STM-256 equipment, short, intermediate, and long haul optical transmitter modules, and broadband test and measurement applications, the HMC-C062 supports single-ended or differential operation and data transmission rates up to 50Gbit/s and, also serves as an alternate to Inphi's 50716CF.
The device operates with clock signals up to 30GHz, and the input is broadband from DC to 30GHz. During normal operation, input data (or clock) is transferred to both output channels.
Differential input signals to the HMC-C062 are terminated with 50ohm to ground on-chip, and may be either AC or DC coupled.
The differential outputs of the HMC-C062 may be either AC or DC coupled. Propagation delay is typically 270ps, while rise and fall times are less than 11ps. Ideal for high performance broadband test applications, the HMC-C062 exhibits 2ps of deterministic jitter, and less than 0.2ps of additive random jitter.
The HMC-C062 operates from a -3.3Vdc supply, while consuming 455mW.
The HMC-C062 is specified for operation from -40 to +70°C and is housed in a miniature hermetically sealed module with 1.85mm connectors.
All connectorised modules are available from stock and can be ordered on-line.
