BVM has introduced the MP-840 video and audio capture Mini-PCI card that supports the H.264 MPEG-4 video compression standard, digitally encoding four channels at 120fps with full D1 resolution.
Designed for professional A/V studio pre and post production applications, the card includes four high quality NTSC/PAL video decoders that convert analogue composites video signals to digital data, four 10-bit ADCs and four 2D and 3D comb filters for separating luminance and chrominance to reduce cross noise artifacts.
The MP-840 also includes four audio analogue-to-digital converters and four channels of adaptive differential pulse code modulation (ADPCM) audio encode.
An application development suite includes functions for H.264 baseline profile, live mode D1 display and H.264 recording at 120fps.
