2001 Electronic Components has released a range of high power LED development boards, dubbed Starboards, for the evaluation of Seoul Semiconductors P5 and P7 devices.
The Z Power LED P7 series has brightness of 900 lumen and light efficiency of 90 lumen per Watt. The LED’s emit light through 360º, allowing light to be directed as required with only small loss.
The Z Power LED P5-II full colour LED series uses 3 RGB die to create a high flux output , high luminance device. Each device is designed for high current operation with low thermal resistance, emitting seven colours.
Each of the Starboards is designed to take account of the critical need for efficient heat dissipation. The LED’s are soldered to 20mm thermally improved metal PCB’s to dissipate heat by radiation and convection.
