Anritsu has added spectrum analysis of W-CDMA and HSDPA signals to its handheld analysers.
With the options, the MT8222A and MS272xB can support HSPA+ 64 QAM modulation, and a 64 QAM constellation diagram can be displayed on the respective analyser’s measurement screen.
There is also software which will allow the user to carry out discontinuous transmission (DTX) and Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR).
Another feature of the handheld instruments is that over-the-Air (OTA) scanner measurements can be made more efficiently and there is improved Code Domain Power (CDP) measurement performance, due to lower EVM, said Anritsu.
With sensitivity of less than -153dBm displayed average noise level typical at 1GHz, the MS272xB series can measure very low level signals, a critical feature as the RF spectrum becomes more congested.
Three models are available in the MS272xB series. Leading the way is the MS2724B, which covers 9kHz to 20GHz. Other models include the MS2721B, with frequency coverage of 9kHz to 7.1GHz, and the MS2723B, which goes up to 13GHz.
