Hittite Microwave has introduced two surface mount 6-bit and 7-bit digital attenuators for 3G, WiMAX/4G, military and test & measurement equipment applications from DC to 6GHz.
The HMC792LP4E is a digitally controlled GaAs MMIC digital attenuator which operates from DC to 6GHz and can be programmed to provide up to 15.75dB attenuation with 0.25dB resolution.
The HMC792LP4E delivers insertion loss as low as 2.2dB, and IP3 up to +55dBm in any state.
The device also features a CMOS/ TTL compatible control interface which accepts serial, parallel, or latched parallel control inputs.
The HMC759LP3E is a 7-bit BiCMOS digital attenuator which operates from 10 to 300MHz, and can be programmed to provide up to 31.75dB attenuation in 0.25dB steps.
It delivers P1dB and output IP3 of up to +21dBm and +40dBm respectively.
The HMC792LP4E is housed in a RoHS compliant 4x4 mm QFN leadless package while the HMC759LP3E is housed in a RoHS compliant 3x3 mm QFN leadless package.
