KEMET has announced the release of new part types in its GR900 high reliability ceramic capacitor series.

According to the company, the new devices offer higher capacitance values for the company's defence and aerospace customers. The additions to the GR900 series have allowed it to extend capacitance offerings in the same package, therefore saving valuable board space as well as extending the portfolio of offerings into the 16V and 25V rated ranges.

"KEMET's GR900 series set the industry standard for space level component qualification and was the precursor for space level standard MIL-PRF-123 which the high reliability industry recognises today," stated Travis Ashburn, KEMET's Director, Product Management.

Termination options for the GR900 series include100% tin (Sn Plated), 100% gold (Au Plated), 70Sn/30Pb (Solder plated), and 70Sn/30Pb (Solder coated).
