A 5-inch WVGA (800x480) TFT display module from GPEG International includes the option of adding a 'projective capacitive' touch screen, a product availability lifetime of a minimum of three years and an extended operating temperature range of -30C to +85C.

It is available in single or multi-touch the touch screen allows for 'gesturing' functions such as 'pinching' - zoom out, 'stretching' - zoom in and 'swipe' - left, right, up and down.

The touch screen has a high impact resistance (3H) and will work with a gloved hand. Light transmission is typically 88% with a positional accuracy of better than 1%.

The 800xRGBx480 pixels (WVGA) TFT LCD module uses amorphous silicon transmissive LCD technology and an LED backlight to achieve typical brightness levels of 450cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 250:1. The display will operate in portrait or landscape mode.
