JTAG Technologies has announced an update to its ProVision boundary-scan development tool suite that includes the new continuity test module, called Buzz.

Service Pack 1 for CD release 15 (CD15-SP1) is available immediately for download, from the company website, for licensed users with current support contracts.

The Buzz module allows users to quickly check the continuity between two or more pins without the need to import detailed design (netlist) information.

Using an intuitive user interface, users can quickly drag and drop pins into a continuity test panel within the user interface and 'Buzz-out' a connection - as might be traditionally done using a digital multimeter.
