EBV Elektronik has introduced the Cyclone IV GX development kit at EmbeddedWorld 2010.

Following on from the distributor’s Snake-Bytes reference designs, the emphasis is firmly on offering a large number of IO pins, with potential for add-on boards and user-specific hardware. 

The board, which consists of Altera Cyclone IV GX FPGA along with silicon from National Semiconductor and Samsung.

Target applications are: Ethernet-based Fieldbus factory automation, medical, SPS controls and hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
