Vienna-based Demmel Products has introduced a 2.8-inch touch screen LCD screen panel at Embedded World.

Priced for low quantity production runs, the 240x320 pixel iLCD is equipped can be operated in both portrait and landscape mode.

The panels will storeWindows font, static and animated graphics, text messages and macros in the iLCD controller's flash memory.

They have USB, RS232, I²C and SPI interfaces and can be controlled with a low cost microcontroller.

The colour panels are available in a range of formats from 2.8 to 10.2-inch (1024 x 600 pixel).

On larger panels, the controller's 32Mbyte flash memory can be extended via an on-board micro SD card holder.

There is an internal battery-backed real-time clock, interface options for a keyboard matrix, relays and signal transmitters.
