Wood & Douglas has introduced an industrial radio and modem is suited for the most demanding point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless SCADA and Telemetry applications.

According to the supplier, the combination of a high speed, low latency repeater and dual antenna network bridge, enables the JR240 to deliver 512k over-air data rate at a maximum single repeater range of up to 70km, and 35km at a single hop line-of-sight.

Suitable for large scale, remotely located, operational deployments, command of the radio system is provisioned by an embedded HTML web presence enabling remote configuration, network management and diagnostics.

The ChannelShare collision avoidance, with frequency hopping spread spectrum technology, reduces the risk of interference, and its rugged construction provides reliability in extreme temperatures and high humidity.
